Upon completion of NMIT Certificate IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Business (Marketing), students will be offered credits with direct admission to year 2 semester 2 of Bachelor of Business offered by University of Tasmania or University of Southern Queensland. Students will be able to get a bachelor degree in a minimum time of one and a half year.

The programme aims at preparing graduates who are intended to working in newspapers and mass media organizations in Hong Kong. To this end, in addition to the required courses in journalistic skills training, students are provided with the opportunity to understand the process and impact of communication in a variety of social contexts, and helped to acquire a broad-based knowledge in current affairs. In diploma level, students will receive training in foundation subjects; they will go more deeply into the theory and practice of journalism and mass communication.
