Kelly Lam - KHATTAK Legal Professional, Master of China Law, Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Language
Born with a silver spoon in your mouth? Got a large fortune of money to spend or a strong family background and connections to lean on? If your answers to these questions are in the negative, then the only way to lead yourself to the path of success is by way of lifelong learning.'Lifelong Learning' is a term vague and abstract in meaning. Many of us actually do not know what it implies or means. Take me as an example, a person who spent all his time in international primary school, had to start everything from scratch to study Chinese characters from secondary level. Nowadays, I am not only proficient in Cantonese, English, Japanese and Putonghua, but have also become a writer of books and novels in different languages.

In Hong Kong, my previous novel 'Twilight Zone' and my latest non-fiction 'Legal Traps in Hong Kong' have been commented on having a strong 'feel' and a strong 'touch' of the movies. As part of my growth and development since my childhood, I have been endowed with a memory of over 1,000 local and foreign movies, dramas, songs and comics. I love them all! I remember them all and I can recite all their lines, lyrics and scripts in the reverse order! Such memories and contents have become secret weapons of mine when they are perfectly blended in with my skills of public speaking, communication, presentation and negotiation, all done with a unique style!

The magic of lifelong learning is to grab at every single opportunity to learn and to enrich oneself through education, entertainment and various cultures of life. Let us make ourselves extraordinary people through learning and enjoy a life with no regrets! After all, Life is such a splendid thing. On the other hand, to be a great teacher, you need patience, attention and care towards students and I find Asia Management Education Centre’s lecturers are gifted with these essential qualities. Apart from knowledge which they pass on to students, lecturers of Asia Management Education Centre manage to build a strong relationship of trust and friendship with them. Mutual discussion, sharing life experience with students and teaching students with the most practical examples, the lecturers ensures the best and equal opportunities of learning with every student who comes into their class which is endowed with a perfect learning atmosphere.
